The Kost Tire Tarheels 3 on 3 Basketball Team recently won the East Coast Roundball Ruckos Basketball Tournament in the 12 to 15 year old division held at the Lackawanna County Stadium in Moosic. This is the third straight championship for the team, which now qualifies them for the National 3 on 3 Basketball Championships to be held in Springfield, MA. The team finished with a 7 - 1 record and held off the Jogg Mob, a tough competitor, to win the final game.
Team members also play for the Wilkes Barre Tarheels Traveling AAV Basketball Team and are members of the Bishop Hoban, Pittston Area, Seton Catholic and Bishop O'Reilly Varsity Basketball Teams.
