WORKMANSHIP & MATERIAL WARRANTY
TIRE COVERAGE: The tire(s)identified hereon used on a passenger or light truck according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, is (are) warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and material for the life of the usable tread, down to the level of the tread wear indicators (2/32nds of an inch remaining), at which time the tire is considered worn out. If on presentation of the tire(s) to Kost Tire / Muffler, it is determined that the tire has become unserviceable for a reason other than accident, fire, improper maintenance, misalignment, theft, road hazard damage, and/or willful abuse, it will be replaced in accordance with this warranty. When a portion of original usable tread which has been worn, the usermust pay the cost of a replacement tire on a pro-rated basis, which will be calculated by multiplying the current retail price by the percentage of original useable tread which has been worn. Original usable tread is the original tread down to the level of the tread wear indicators (2/32nds of an inch tread remaining) at which time the tire is considered to be worn out. The cost of mounting, balancing, and any otherges or applicable taxes is payable by the user.
LIMITATIONS: The warranty does not provide compensation for loss of time, loss of use of the vehicle, inconvenience or consequential damage. No Kost representative or employee has the authority to make or imply any representation, promise or agreement which in any way varies the terms of this warranty. This warranty applies only in the United States.
LIMITED TREAD WEAR WARRANTY
COVERAGE: Tires purchased from Kost Tire / Muffler carrying limited tread wear warranties are guaranteed to deliver, the specified mileage (guaranteed mileage listed on face of invoice) If the tread should wear out (tread wear bars visible at 2/32’’ of tread depth) before the specified mileage, allowance will be made on a pro-rata basis towards the purchase of the same size and type tire (or comparable new tire of customer’s choice)
LIMITATIONS: This limited warranty will apply in accordance with its terms to any claims made on the above coverage. It does not cover accidents, fire, improper maintenance, misalignment, theft, road hazard damage, and/or willful abuse. In addition, the customer must come in every 5000 miles for a free tire inspection, air check, and tire rotation (when deemed necessary by our inspectors). This warranty becomes invalid if the customer does not come in for the tire check within 500miles of the required 5,000 mile intervals. Car type, year, mileage and the mileage guaranteed must be filled in by authorized Kost personnel, or this warranty is null and void. This warranty is in effect only on the vehicle on which the tire was originally installed.
ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY
COVERAGE: Tire(s) purchased from Kost Tire / Muffler covered by road hazard warranty (Road Hazard RH must appear under the covered tire) will in the event of a non-repairable failure, be replaced free of a charge for the life of the tire (to 3/32’’ tread depth). If the tire is repairable, it will be repaired and rebalanced free of charge. To renew this coverage of a no-charge replacement tire, the current road hazard fee must be paid.
LIMITATIONS: This warranty covered the original purchaser only, using the tire in non-commercial passenger service. It does not cover damage caused by collision, vandalism, chain damage, off-road usage, mechanical defects of the vehicle, or willful abuse, and is non-transferable.
EXHAUST SYSTEMS & PARTS- LIMITED WARRANTY
COVERAGE: Exhaust systems and parts installed by Kost Tire / Muffler are covered by the following wear out warranties:
M-Muffler- Lifetime, with labor charge, pipes, hangers & clamps – 1 year free replacement w/ labor charge.
SHOCKS, STRUTS & SPRINGS- LIMITED WARRANTY
COVERAGE: All shocks, struts and springs installed by Kost Tire / Muffler are covered by the following wear out warranties:
Heavy duty. Radial, Gas & Load Leveler – Lifetime w/labor charge; Air Shocks- 48,000 miles (prorated); Specialty Shocks – Lifetime w/ labor charge; McPhearson Strut Cartridge – 12 months – 12,000 miles; McPhearson Strut Assembly – 12 months – 12,000 miles w/ labor charge. Each: Coil Springs 1 year w/ labor charges. This warranty is not transferable.
BRAKE WARRANTY
COVERAGE: All brake pads and shoes installed by Kost / Tire Muffler carry a car lifetime warranty. If these pads or shoes fail to deliver the guaranteed mileage, they will be replaced free of charge. The user must pay for the cost of installation and for any other associated labor charges. This warranty is not transferable.
FRONT END PARTS- LIMITED WARRANTY
COVERAGE: All front end parts installed by Kost Tire / Muffler are covered by the following wear out warranties:
Ball joints / Tie rod ends/ Idler arms / Pitman Arms / Center links / Bushings, etc – lifetime w/labor charge; Consent velocity joints- 1year w/ labor charge; Constant Velocity Boots – 90 days or 4,000miles; Half Shafts- 1year /labor charge.
PARTS – LIMITED WARRANTY
COVERAGE: Every auto part shown hereon is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and material. All of the above warranties apply only to the original purchases and are not assignable. Kost Tire / Muffler make all replacements of products by these warranties.
